About

The idea of Kinected Physical Therapy and Wellness was created from seeing and experiencing the triumphs and the struggles with receiving proper care in my own community as a therapist and also as a patient, myself. KPTW’s mission is to connect our city and surrounding areas with effective physical therapy services and other conservative and complementary care.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide physical therapy services and other methods of conservative and complementary care to promote an attainable healthy lifestyle. We aim to change the face of healthcare by combining an array of conservative techniques that embody the definition of true health. Our structure is designed to empower our community to reach its highest potential.

Our Therapist

Dr. Latisha Williams

Founder, Physical Therapist

Dr. Latisha “Tisha” Williams was born and raised in Shreveport, LA. She was raised to value not only education but also music and sports. Ultimately, she gravitated toward the more artistic sports. As a child and through her young adult years, she trained in gymnastics, dance, aerial silks, aerial hoop, and cheerleading. She grew up in the gymnastics world and was a competitive gymnast for 12 years at Jill’s Gymnastics. After sustaining two sports-related injuries, physical therapy helped her recover and successfully return to the sport. This motivated her to help others do the same, fueling her ambitions of becoming a physical therapist. After attending LSUS and receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences in 2012, she then to pursued her degree in physical therapy. In 2015, she graduated from LSU-Health Sciences Center in Shreveport as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).

Since graduating, she continues to seek further education in a variety of physical therapy areas, including orthopedics, sports, Neurac, and dry needling. Tisha has worked in outpatient physical therapy, inpatient physical therapy, and home health physical therapy settings gaining experience with a variety of patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. Most of her clinical experience has been spent treating outpatient patients in the field of post-op and non-operative orthopedics, sports, preventative care, and neurological disorders. Not only is she passionate about incorporating her knowledge with fun and effective therapy techniques to get patients feeling better and achieving more functionality in their daily activities, but also keeping her gymnasts healthy and strong. Tisha enjoys her role as a vault coach for the women’s competitive gymnastics team at Jill’s, where she has been coaching for 18 years.

Therapy and Wellness

The Story of
Kinected Physical Therapy & Wellness

Over the years, Tisha began to notice that some of her patients had begun to seek out additional natural, non-invasive remedies (like massage, dry needling, and acupuncture) that complemented their therapy treatments and ultimately aided in their recovery process. In addition to this, she observed her patients encountering more restrictions and limitations with therapy services. After the height of the COVID pandemic, these limitations seemed to multiply creating increasing barriers that not only hindered patients but also physical therapists. The combination of the influence of seeing her patients' needs, the results of complementary services, and the increasing barriers fueled the idea of creating a new company.

In 2022, Tisha founded Kinected Physical Therapy & Wellness after seeing the needs of her community. She wanted to create a place that could become the “one-stop” shop. A clinic that helps patients find the remedies that some traditional medicines/procedures have not been able to provide, connects her community with other conservative care professionals, and provides wellness opportunities to help individuals not only recover from their ailments but to also thrive. A facility that helps guide individuals in returning back to their lifestyle or sport that they love.
